Project Lozova Zinc I

Delim’s first project is Lozova Zinc, a project started some time ago with an Ukraine partner. The changes in the Eastern Europe environment brought some delay and a change as well in the partnership. Today the partnership is well in progress and the factory is ‘under construction’.

Ukraine Partner

Our partner Lozivski-PMC is an open joint stock company which used to be a large state-owned metal process¬ing plant which used to be a large state-owned metal processing plant with top production figures of 350 tons per day. After the perestroika (1989/1992) the export to the former USSR was severely hampered and the production decreased dramatically from 350 tons to only 10 tons per day. In this period the number of 1.200 people that where employed in the peak period (1989) by the factory contrasts with the present (increasing) number of 189 employees. The company has been privatized in 1995. The new shareholders, since begin 2008, gave a big boost to the organization and to the production of the plant. The crisis of 2008 decreased the ambition of Lozivski-PMC.

Strategic Objectives Partnership

Lozova Zinc is building a small factory, 4 meter bath. Delim owns 100 % of the shares. Our neighbour and counterpartner in Lozova, a metal construction company, part of a big holding company in Dnepropetrovsk. Lozivski-PMC (LZMK) is one of the founding parties of Lozova-Zinc and produces metal ware.

The Lozova-Zinc project is a complete new start-up with respect to hot-dip galvanizing. It is regarded as state-of-the-art technology. Lozova Zinc allocated of of the 3 factory halls that can accommodate a hot-dip galvanizing processing line. The turn key project includes the delivery of equipment, project man¬agement, starting-up of the plant, training and trans¬fer of knowledge in quality and environmental man¬agement.

Location

The location of Lozova-Zinc is at the Province (Oblast) of Kharkiv. The factory is strategically situated in between five large industrial cities: Kharkiv, Donesk Dnjepropetrovsk, Zaporizjya and Poltava. The region is regarded to be a main metal production area of Ukraine with a lack of galvanizing capacity. These cities are within a range of 250 km of Lozova. For this reason a hot-dip galvanizing factory at Lozova is ideally situated for zinc-contracting.

Project Lviv

Delim’s second project is small hot dip galvanizing factory in the West of Ukraine. The partnership is under construction and the project is designed.

Project Lozova Zinc II

Delim’s third project is in a feasibility phase. Lozova Zinc I investigate a project for a hot dip galvanizing plant with a 12 meter bath.
